Freeform’s “Dead of Summer” Reaches New Heights in Latest Teaser Poster

freeform dead of summer season one teaser poster

Campers’ legs are up for grabs in the latest teaser poster for the upcoming horror-supernatural series Dead of Summer, premiering this summer on Freeform.

The penultimate poster from a set of five pictures a small group of campers sitting at dock’s edge at Lake Stillwater. Little do they know that an eerie presence lurks in the water below hoping to get a hold of its next victim.

Hopefully these campers don’t end up like the dead bodies seen in the previous teaser poster here.

freeform-dead-of-summer-season-one-teaser-poster-grabThough this poster is for Dead of Summer, it does give us an idea for the new mermaid series Freeform is developing called The Deep. The story that is conceived in our minds when looking at this poster is a mermaid or merman who dismembers the legs of its victims to use as their own. Unfortunately, their newfound legs only last for a certain amount of time, so whenever they want to be among those on land, they must continue to kill. Too dark?

Back to Dead of Summer — From what we’ve seem from most of the posters released so far, it looks like this supernatural being loves the water. Wouldn’t you agree?

dead-of-summer-101-pilot-like-a-prayer-1Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer, and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Stillwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses—and first kills. Stillwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.

Dead of Summer premieres Tuesday, June 28, at 9pm on Freeform.
