Things are definitely heating up over at Freeform for the network’s new horror-supernatural series Dead of Summer, as seen in the latest promo which you can view below!
The cabler is beginning to ramp up promotion, as the series premiere is now less than two months away. Just yesterday, Freeform released the first bloody teaser featuring a carved tree and a bleeding heart.
The second teaser for Dead of Summer is fired up, literally! Flames engulf the screen, a marshmallow is cooked on a campfire, and a possible gunshot is seen and heard inside a cabin. It all ends with lights out for one unfortunate camper.
Something to note: These teasers were shown recently at Freeform’s New York Upfront presentation and does not include actual footage from the pilot. But they are still enjoyable, nonetheless!
Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Stillwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses—and first kills. Stillwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.
