Before Ursula became the infamous sea monster we’ve come to know, Once Upon a Time gives us the story behind her madness.
How crazy is it that she was once, herself, a mermaid?! We also learn in the latest episode “Poor Unfortunate Soul” that she was a beautiful singer who continued to sing in memory of her late mother. That is until Hook stole her voice away in a moment of vengeance.
Before that, however, she serenaded patrons at a bar with the familiar song “Fathoms Below,” which you can view in the video above!
