There is absolutely no doubt that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has feelings for Iris West (Candice Patton) on The CW’s much buzzed-about new series, The Flash, but because they’ve known each other for so long, Iris is completely oblivious to the fact.

“They were friends in school and they became really close after Barry moved in with her and her family after his mom passed away,” Patton explains.
“It’s tough to get friend zoned. They’ve just been friends for so long, I think Iris may be a little aloof to the idea that Barry has had these feelings for her for so long.”
The Flash airs Tuesdays this fall on The CW.
