Valentina brings out a softer side from Adrian.
We’re used to seeing Adrian Powell (Tom Irwin) being his usual creepy self with his hot and sexy maids, but with Valentina (Edy Ganem), his “disgusting” little hobby is the last thing on his mind. Their relationship is something we haven’t seen yet from the man who used to recruit women to “entertain” his friends.
“She’s kind of like a daughter to him,” Edy Ganem says of the Valentina/Adrian relationship. “Somebody that cares for him and sees him in his vulnerable moments and kind of really wants to make it better. We don’t see him in his normal creepy self with Valentina. It becomes a whole different relationship which I love.”
After the traumatic experience Adrian went through with the robbery at his house, Tom Irwin says his character finds himself opening up to Valentina — a total stranger — partly due to his very vulnerable state. “She’s one of the first attractive females that [Adrian’s] had in his household that [he hasn’t] tried to hit on,” Irwin says. “Oddly, there’s a very paternal relationship with her. They do have this unlikely bond. She’s really simple and honest and innocent.”
