After last episode’s shocking finale, how does 3 Body Problem move forward in the latest episode, “Our Lord?” Only in more intense and trippy fashion, of course! This week, Jin teams up with Clarence to bring Jack’s killers to justice, while Evans’s admission jeopardizes everything.
On a Mission | Beginning with a flashback to London, 1982, a young Mike Evans meets a young Ye Wenjie to catch up at a bar. When he asks why she wrote to him and asked to meet, she begins to tell him about the message she sent to outer space. In present day, Jin (Jess Hong) and Auggie (Eiza Gonzalez) are shown security camera footage of Jack’s murder by Clarence (Benedict Wong) and Wade (Liam Cunningham), which Jin is horrified to see. Of course, the woman who killed him isn’t on any of the security cameras in Jack’s house, and Wade offers Jin the opportunity to help them catch whoever killed him.

Clarence finds Mike Evans (Jonathan Pryce) via satellite images, showing him on a boat called Judgment Day that has a school full of children aboard, who are asking Evans if they can meet our Lord. Evans retreats to a private room and communicates with the Lord over speakerphone, who informs him that his enemies know of their summit. As Will (Alex Sharp) and Saul (Jovan Adepo) go through Jack’s stuff at his house, Jin meets with Wade and Clarence, who convince her to go to the summit and gather intel for them.
Liars | Back on Judgment Day, Evans is reading “Little Red Riding Hood” to the Lord, who demands to know why Red Riding Hood doesn’t run away from the wolf after learning his intentions. Evans deduces that the Lord and its species communicate through thought, but when the Lord demands to know where the woods where the story takes place are, Evans tells it that the story was made up. The Lord is troubled by this and says that they cannot work with liars and are afraid of humans. Evans tries to explain, but the Lord doesn’t respond.

The Summit | Jin, wearing a wire, meets a driver who takes her to a warehouse in the middle of nowhere, where a group of people are waiting there, chatting. She is met by the mystery woman (Marlo Kelly) who killed Jack and Clarence listening in recognizes her voice from when they met at the graveyard. Then, a man introduces the founder of the movement, who then walks in- and it’s none other than Ye Wenjie (Rosalind Chao), who greets Jin with a smile. She addresses the crowd, telling them to train their descendants to welcome the incoming aliens, before a SWAT team storms in and points guns at everyone, but Ye is calm and tells everyone not to resist. As the SWAT team tries to escort Jin out, the woman shoots them and a gunfight breaks out, but Clarence intervenes and shoots her in the leg. The SWAT arrests everyone at the summit and Clarence takes Jin to a safe house, not realizing that the woman has escaped.
As Jin is being driven away in an ambulance, Will calls her and offers to take her to a cottage by the beach, which she seems open to. When Will asks where she is, she starts telling him a story from long ago, as another flashback takes us to a young Evans and Ye arriving on Judgment Day. Evans tells her that the boat is their own private research base and shows her a computer with the responses from the aliens from years prior before kissing her. Back in present day, Wade brings Ye to an interrogation room and demands to know where Judgment Day is. All Ye says is that when the aliens arrive, everyone will be grateful.
