Freeform is finally starting to give us some answers in this week’s episode of The Watchful Eye! Not only do we know that Ruby was a baby, but we find out that it’s actually Mrs. Ivey! Elena and Matt finally hook up because she’s quitting, but then decides to stay and try to get some money out of Mrs. Ivey. ‘Spellbound’ was written by Rebecca Kirsch and directed by Daniel Willis.
Quittin’ Time | Elena (Mariel Molino) decides, much to Scott’s (Jon-Michael Ecker) disappointment, that it’s time for her to quit and leave the Greybourne. Without an actual ruby there is no point in her staying there. She begins to tell people she’s leaving, and when she tells Matt (Warren Christie) it is evident that he is very sad to learn this. He opens up to Elena about why he and Allie were divorcing, then the two of them FINALLY hook up. Elena then goes to say her goodbye’s to Mrs. Ivey (Kelly Bishop), but while there she realizes who Mrs. Ivey really is, and there’s no way she can leave now.

Jocelyn’s Truth | Jocelyn (Elyse Maloway) begs Elena not to leave until she learns the whole truth of what happened to her. We then see the rest of Jocelyn’s story through a series of flashbacks. She was hired as the Greybourne nanny, fell in love with Alistair and got pregnant by him. She tells Iris (Rhonda Dent) the father is just a random mistake, and Iris offers to raise the baby as her own so she can have the best that money can afford.
Jocelyn agrees, but didn’t realize how difficult if would be playing nanny to her own daughter. Iris discovers the truth about Jocelyn and Alistair so Jocelyn tries to take her child and run away with Alistair. But Iris catches her and accidentally knocks her out. Panicked, Iris calls her brother Otis to help. His version of helping is throwing Jocelyn’s unconscious body out the window making it look like a suicide.
Otis then finds Alistair in the basement meeting room and kills him for trying to ruin all that they had built. In one night baby Ruby unknowingly lost both of her parents, and was renamed Charlotte Greybourne by Iris. Elena realizes the truth and thinks Jocelyn wants her daughter, Charlotte Ivey, safe. But Elena has other plans for this information.
