Freeform just smacked us with another fantastic episode of The Watchful Eye! We see Elena visit her mother in prison, then she meets with Morgan who later DISAPPEARS, and we find out that Nanny’s like to meet for morning beers. ‘The Nanny Vanishes’ was written by Alicia Carroll and directed by Jeffrey Reiner.
Meeting Morgan | The episode kicks off with Elena (Mariel Molino) on the phone with her brother before visiting her mother in prison. Somehow Ronnie is managing to potentially get out after serving only 7 months of her sentence. After this Elena goes to a park to meet the Ward’s old nanny, Morgan (Ayumi Patterson). Morgan seems very paranoid even though she is no longer working at the Greybourne.
She tells Elena that Matt (Warren Christie) and Allie (Emily Tennant) were great bosses, but that Allie eventually started seeing people. I wonder if she was seeing Jocelyn (Elyse Maloway) like Elena is? At the end of the meeting Morgan covertly tells Elena the name of the lawyer that made her sign the NDA, Victor Marcato. By the end of the episode Elena tries to get in touch with Morgan again but can’t, her phone has been disconnected and the building she lives in condemned. Where is Morgan?!?

Cleaning out the Closet | Elena helps Matthew put by cleaning Allie’s stuff out of the closet while he goes out and spends time with Jasper (Henry Joseph Samiri). While cleaning she finds divorce papers that were hidden, leaving us to think there may be more to Allie’s death than we originally thought. After cleaning the closet Elena stays for dinner and helps Matt with the cooking.
There is definitely a bit of flirting going on, but they keep it pretty low key. When the smoke alarm doesn’t go off when something burns Elena removes it to check the batteries and discovers there’s a camera inside of it. She later checks all of them smoke alarms and discovers cameras in all of them. Who is spying on the Ward’s?
Mommy’s Friend | Elena meets her nanny friends for morning beers, which sounds lovely and exactly what a nanny should be doing on their morning off. Later she takes Jasper to Matt’s groundbreaking ceremony for his new project. When they return home Jasper asks Elena why his dad is talking to one of his mom’s friends. That friend just happens to be Scott (Jon-Michael Ecker).
