“The 100” Recap: Motorcycles

On this week’s episode of The 100 things get even more intense. We see hookups, death, and possession, and it’s only the fourth episode of the season! ‘The Face Behind the Glass’ was written by Charmaine De Grate and directed by Tim Scanlan.

Captured | Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) isn’t doing so great on her own. She’s been captured by the Children of Gabriel, who also have Rose (Amélie Eve), the Prime they kidnapped from Sanctum. O sneaks away from their captors, takes Rose, and runs. She does her best to encourage Rose and keep the girl from being scared, but she was too slow and the Children caught up to them. Lucky for Octavia, Diyoza (Ivana Milicevic) has teamed up with Rose’s guard from Sanctum to rescue her in order to gain her unborn child’s place in Sanctum, and they arrive on motorcycles just in time to save O. But they weren’t lucky enough to save Rose when one bullet strikes her.

Octavia had heard the Children of Gabriel talking about their leader, Gabriel. They’re unsure if the man is still alive, but they decide they need to find out and kill him if he is. Then, they might be allowed in Sanctum.

Naming Day | In Sanctum, things heat up as the Naming Day celebration for Jordan’s new girlfriend, Delilah (Ashleigh LaThrop), begins. The majority of Sanctum’s population attends the party before the ceremony, but Raven () decides to go looking for something she can exercise her brain with. She stumbles upon someone working on an old motorcycle and she’s psyched. She’s never seen a real one, and definitely wants to help fix it up. At the end of their meeting she finds out that the handsome gentleman is actually a Prime.

Jordan opens up to Delilah about what it was like growing up in space with only his parents and the faces behind the glass of the people in cryo. At the Naming Day ceremony Delilah tells Jordan not to let her become a face behind the glass, but that’s essentially what occurs. When she emerges from the private ceremony she doesn’t seem to know who Jordan is and calls the mechanic Raven met earlier her “baby.”

Clarke (Eliza Taylor) really lets loose and ends up hooking up with the Sanctum’s doctor, but realizes soon after that he’s the traitor in Sanctum. He shoots her with a paralytic dart, but gets caught before he can even leave the room with her. Instead of letting himself be captured, he slit his own throat.

Clarke later wakes up in a lab with Russell (JR Bourne) and Simone (Tattiawna Jones), along with several skeletons. The couple is discussing their options now that they know Rose is dead and Clarke is a nightblood. They say they need another host, and they don’t want to wait decades for another host to be born and get to maturity, they want their daughter back now. Russell says that the hosts mind is erased but the brain is left unharmed, as if this is supposed to soothe Clarke right before he injects her with something and she loses consciousness. When she comes to, it is most definitely not Clarke Griffin inside her body, it is Josephine Prime.
