At the end of the last episode of The CW’s The 100 we see Clarke reach out to Diyoza to figure out a way for everyone to share the valley. Diyoza will only accept them if Octavia surrenders, is brought to her as a prisoner, or killed. This week’s episode explored their options, can Clarke and Bellamy get Octavia to call off the war, or will they have to take her out? ‘How We Get To Peace’ was written by Lauren Muir and directed by Antonio Negret.
Options | The episode picks up right where the previous one ended, with Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy (Bob Morley) going over their options for survival. Monty (Christopher Larkin) wants to avoid all the drama entirely and just grow his algae there at Polis so no one has to leave and war can be avoided. But of course no one wants to listen to Monty, except his girlfriend Harper (Chelsey Reist). They want to avoid anymore loss and want to just stay at Polis no matter what happens. Clarke and Bellamy go over their options, get Madi (Lola Flanery) and all their friends on a rover to get to Shallow Valley before the war to rescue their people there. Their other option is to do as Diyoza (Ivana Milicevic) wants and take out Octavia, but of course Bellamy doesn’t want to do that.

Eggs | Octavia has found out that Echo (Tasya Teles) has done her job as a spy and they have access to Diyoza’s cameras, which means it’s time to go to war. As a last resort, Clarke and Bellamy end up killing Cooper () with her worms and then killing the worms in order to stop O’s plan from happening. But what they don’t know is the full extent of Blodreina’s plan, even Indra (Adina Porter) doesn’t know the full plan. O and Cooper weren’t going to use the worms to take out Diyoza and her crew, they are sending the eggs. So the plan is still on but Octavia knows Clarke and Bellamy tried to thwart her. She captures Clarke but lets Bellamy free, big mistake. Being faced with the real threat of war and possibly losing Clarke again, Bellamy ends up drugging his sister with Monty’s algae that makes people sick. The look on Octavia’s face when she realized her brother had betrayed her was heartbreaking. Guess Blodreina won’t be rushing into war anytime soon.
Broken Heart | In Shallow Valley, Abby (Paige Turco) has figured out how to cure the prisoners, through sound waves, but she needs an engineer to get the equipment working the way she wants it to. So of course, Raven (Lindsey Morgan) is the one for the job! Abby and Raven haven’t sen each other in 6 years, so it was an emotional reunion for Raven who looked up to Abby like a mom. But after Raven discovers Abby has lied to her, Abby uses Raven’s shock collar on her, effectively breaking Raven’s heart in the process.
The Deal | Murphy (Richard Harmon) and Emori (Luisa d’Oliveira) make a deal with McCreary (William Miller) to get them all back to the camp after Diyoza refuses to trade Raven for her man. [Could this man be the father of her baby?] The trio teams up and Murphy and Emori pretend to be McCreary’s prisoners to get back into the camp, then he’s supposed to help them get Raven and get out, but I have a feeling things won’t go down as planned.
