It was a bittersweet moment in Ballroom 20 Thursday afternoon as Teen Wolf creator announced to the fans in attendance that not only will the series’ 100th episode will hit in the upcoming season, but that its next season will be its last.

“100 is a good number to end the show on,” said showrunner and executive producer Jeff Davis. “‘Teen Wolf‘ has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could’ve ever imagined. We’re eternally grateful for the support we’ve received over these past six years and we’re excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure.”

“This isn’t just a show, this is a family,” laments titular star Tyler Posey. “I hope you know that we love you guys. I want to make you guys smile and laugh. You mean so much to us.”

“It’s the end of an era for all of us,” he continues. “We care so much for this show. This is huge. I love each and every one of you.”

For Holland Roden, who plays banshee Lydia Martin, the actress is extremely thankful for the opportunity the show has presented to her.

“I probably wouldn’t be acting if it wasn’t for this show.”
